TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

L’ordonnateur compétent signale au comptable toute évolution ou tout changement notable intervenu dans un système de gestion financière, un système d’inventaire ou un système d’évaluation des éléments d’actif et de passif, si un tel système fournit des données à la comptabilité de l’institution ou lorsqu’il est appelé à justifier des données de celle-ci, afin que le comptable puisse vérifier la conformité avec les critères de validation.
The responsible authorising officer shall notify the accounting officer of all developments or significant modifications of a financial management system, an inventory system or a system for the valuation of assets and liabilities, if it provides data for the accounts of the institution or is used to substantiate data thereof, so that the accounting officer can verify compliance with the validation criteria.

(6) For the purposes of subsection (1), the total value of all assets that the company or any of its subsidiaries has transferred during the period of twelve months referred to in subsection (1) is the book value of the assets as stated in the last annual statement of the company prepared before the transfer or, if the assets are shares of, or ownership interests in, an entity the assets of which were included in the last annual statement of the company before the transfer, the value of the assets of the entity as stated in the annual statement.

6. For the purposes of subsection 473(1) of the Act, “total assets” , in respect of a life company, at a particular time, means the total of the assets of the life company that would be reported on the balance sheet of the life company prepared as at that time in accordance with the accounting principles and specifications of the Superintendent referred to in subsection 331(4) of the Act, less the total of the assets, determined in the same manner, of any subsidiary of the life company that is not a prescribed subsidiary.

For the purposes of section 476 of the Act, “total assets” , in respect of a property and casualty company or a marine company, at a particular time, means the total of the assets of the company that would be reported on its balance sheet prepared as at that time in accordance with the accounting principles and specifications of the Superintendent referred to in subsection 331(4) of the Act, less the total of the assets, determined in the same manner, of any subsidiary of the company that is not a prescribed subsidiary.

The accounting officer may diverge from those standards if he or she considers this necessary in order to give a true and fair view of the assets and liabilities, charges, income and cash flow.
