L’Union européenne exploitera les différents instruments dont elle dispose à cet effet, à savoir le 10e Fonds européen de développement, le partenariat UE-Afrique pour l’infrastructure, qui concerne des projets régionaux sur la production et le transport d’électricité, la facilité ACP-UE pour l’énergie, ainsi que le programme communautaire de coopération énergétique COOPENER et son successeur, et enfin le programme EUROSOLAR pour l'Amérique latine.
The EU will also leverage the different instruments at its disposal to this end: the 10th European Development Fund, the EU-Africa Partnership on Infrastructure which addresses regional projects on the generation and transmission of electricity, the ACP-EU Energy Facility, and the EC COOPENER programme and its successor as well as the EUROSOLAR programme for Latin America.

5. A Pilot Programme for Latin America

Avec cet accord commercial, l'UE continue à resserrer ses liens et à progresser dans son ambitieux programme commercial avec l'Amérique latine.
With this trade deal, the EU continues strengthening relations and advancing in its ambitious trade agenda with Latin America.

C'est pourquoi la coordination et les complémentarités entre les activités de coopération scientifique et technique menées dans le programme-cadre et les actions menées par l'intermédiaire d'instruments financiers comme MEDA, Tacis, le FED et ALA (Amérique Latine/Asie) seront renforcées, dans la ligne des conclusions du document de travail de la Commission "Synergies entre le 5e Programme-cadre de RDT et MEDA" de juin 2000.
That is why coordination and the complementary aspects of the scientific and technical cooperation activities undertaken under the Framework Programme and the schemes implemented using financial instruments such as MEDA, Tacis, the EDF and ALA (Asia and Latin American countries) will be intensified in line with the conclusions of the Commission working document on synergies between the fifth framework programme for research and MEDA of June 2000.
