Le volet III couvre trois domaines distincts d’aide: transport et environnement, qui reflètent les interventions du Fonds de cohésion dans les États membres, et compétitivité régionale, qui couvre certains domaines d’assistance au titre de l’objectif de compétitivité et d’emploi du Fonds européen de développement régional.
Component III covers three distinct areas of assistance: transport and environment which mirror Cohesion Fund interventions in Member States, and regional competitiveness which covers some areas of assistance as under the competitiveness and employment objective of the European Regional Development Fund.

Pour réellement mettre en œuvre le principe de cohésion territoriale, et augmenter la valeur ajoutée européenne de l'intervention des fonds alloués dans le cadre de l'objectif "convergence" et "compétitivité et emploi", une complémentarité accrue entre l'objectif "coopération territoriale" et le mainstream est nécessaire.
If the principle of territorial cohesion is to be implemented properly, and in order to increase the European added value of the funding allocated under the ‘convergence’ and ‘competitiveness and employment’ objectives, greater complementarity between the ‘territorial cooperation’ objective and the mainstream is essential.

Le présent règlement établit et définit les tâches et l’étendue de l’intervention du FEDER. This Regulation establishes the tasks of the ERDF and the scope of its assistance with regard to the “Convergence”, “Regional competitiveness and employment” and “European territorial cooperation” objectives as defined in the general provisions on the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund and the Cohesion Fund.

Notes the need for funding within existing programmes to carry out targeted studies in the most disadvantaged regions of the EU, so as to set strategic objectives and determine the type of measures required to establish favourable conditions for the development of sustainable local economies, with the specific objectives of creating new green jobs and integrated measures to attract new green companies and support those which already exist;

En ce qui me concerne, je concentrerai mon intervention sur l'emploi, sur l'objectif du plein emploi qui, pour moi, devrait être l'objectif premier sinon unique de l'Europe européenne, tous les autres objectifs n'en étant que des conséquences.
Personally, I would like to concentrate on employment and on the objective of full employment which I think should be the prime, if not sole objective of the European Union, as all other objectives are only consequences of it.

(e) Considers that the objective of social cohesion cannot be measured solely in terms of per capita GDP and calls for other indicators, such as employment growth (especially for high-risk population groups), better working conditions and health, protection and improvement of the environment, improvements in the social fabric, including the promotion of local development and the services sector, to be given greater weight when determining the objectives for action by the Structural Funds and the criteria for monitoring and assessing their impact;
