Conformément à l'objectif de la PEV renouvelée de se focaliser sur les liens entre les sociétés, l'UE encouragera une coopération plus intensive avec les différentes parties prenantes, notamment avec les parlements, dans le cadre du réseau EURONEST créé par le Parlement européen, les acteurs régionaux, en coopération avec le Comité des régions, les chefs d'entreprise, dans le cadre d'un Forum des entreprises du partenariat oriental, ainsi qu'avec la société civile et les partenaires sociaux, en s'appuyant sur le Forum de la société civile du partenariat oriental et ses plateformes nationales.
In line with the aim of the renewed ENP to focus on links between societies, the EU will promote more intensive engagement with stakeholders, including parliaments in the framework of EURONEST, established by the European Parliament; regional actors in cooperation with the Committee of the Regions; business leaders, in the frame of an Eastern Partnership Business Forum; and civil society and social partners building on the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum and its national platforms.

Johannes Hahn, commissaire chargé de la politique européenne de voisinage et des négociations d'élargissement, a participé à de nombreux événements, notamment à la cérémonie de signature de la «lettre d'intention» pour une nouvelle aide au titre du mécanisme pour l'innovation et le développement des entreprises dans les Balkans occidentaux, au forum des entreprises, au forum de la société civile, au forum de la jeunesse et à la réunion avec les ministres des affaires étrangères.

Emphasises the crucial role played by civil society in the protection and promotion of democracy and human rights; calls for the designation of contact persons for civil society and human rights defenders in EU Delegations to be completed; stresses that EU contacts with civil society should be built on a genuine partnership, including systematic, timely and regular dialogue on an equal footing, which must guarantee the active participation of civil society actors in the process of good governance; stresses that the information collected in this context must be put to good use, but also protected by EU policies. particularly through democracy and human rights clauses; stresses the need to improve information sharing between the different actors involved in the defence of human rights across the world, in order to enable them to gain a better understanding of the activities and actions carried out, particularly with regard to specific cases, as well as the difficulties encountered; stresses, in this regard, that a civil society monitoring mechanism should be set up to ensure that civil society is systematically involved in the implementation of agreements and programmes; welcomes, at the same time, initiatives such as the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, and encourages EU institutions to take up more of the recommendations and declarations developed in the course of the EP-CSF in Brussels in 2009, in Berlin in 2010, and in Poznań in 2011;
