On the cabinet order for environmental assessment of policies and programs issued during the previous regime, the commissioner reconfirmed what had been found two years earlier in a study published by the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, that only 60 per cent of departments and agencies had made the effort and, of those, only 45 per cent had any documentation to back up their assessments.
