7. Welcomes efforts in both the public and private sectors to introduce journey planners together with the required open standards and interfaces, but notes that many such services cover only specific regions or countries and that few are multimodal; calls therefore, as a first step, for transport services providers and providers of journey planners to build on existing synergies and to focus more closely on providing multimodal, cross-border journey planners with tailored ticketing arrangements, devoting particular attention to the language in which services are provided, taking into account the use of minority languages and linking long-distance and local transport including the ‘first and last mile’, i.e. by upgrading the different systems to develop their interoperability and enable communication between them; calls on the Commission to use the TEN-T corridors as a pilot project for the identification of passenger flows and the potential for multimodal information, travel planning and ticketing services;
7. is ingenomen met het streven van de overheid en de particuliere sector om reisplanningsdiensten tezamen met de vereiste open standaarden en interfaces in het leven te roepen, maar wijst erop dat deze diensten vaak slechts voor bepaalde regio's of landen gelden en zelden multimodaal zijn; roept dan ook als eerste stap de verleners van vervoers- en van reisplanningsdiensten op om voort te bouwen op bestaande synergiën en zich meer te richten op het beschikbaar stellen – met speciale aandacht voor de taal (met name minderheidstalen) waarin deze diensten worden aangeboden – van multimodale, grensoverschrijdende reisplanningsdiensten met overeenkomstige ticketvormen die vervoer over lange en over korte afstand koppelen, met inbegrip van de eerste en de laatste meters, bijvoorbeeld door de verschillende systemen te verbeteren zodat ze interoperabel zijn en met elkaar kunnen communiceren; verzoekt de Commissie om de TEN-T-corridors te gebruiken als proefproject om passagiersstromen en het potentieel voor multimodale diensten voor reisinformatie, reisplanning en ticketing te identificeren;

In addition to the JEPs and the structural and/or complementary measures, the Community will also support the provision of individual grants to teachers, researchers, trainers, university administrators, senior ministerial officials, education planners and other experts in training from eligible countries or from the Community, for visits to promote the quality, development and restructuring of higher education and training in the eligible countries.
De Europese Gemeenschap zal naast de gezamenlijke Europese projecten en de structurele en/of aanvullende maatregelen ook de toekenning van individuele beurzen aan docenten, onderzoekers, opleiders en universiteitsadministrateurs, hoge functionarissen van ministeries, onderwijsplanners en andere opleidingsdeskundigen uit een begunstigd land of uit de Gemeenschap ondersteunen, voor bezoeken ter bevordering van de kwaliteit, de ontwikkeling en de herstructurering van het hoger onderwijs en hoger beroepsonderwijs in de begunstigde landen.
