Supports the efforts of the League of Arab States to end the violence and to promote a political solution in Syria with the Action Plan monitored by an observation mission; notes the Arab League’s decision to end its observation mission in Syria in response to the increasing violence by state authorities and security services; welcomes the Arab League’s decision to increase cooperation with the UN; welcomes the decision of the League of Arab States to impose sanctions against the Syrian regime, to support the Syrian opposition, and its call for a UN and Arab League peacekeeping mission to be deployed in Syria; calls on the Syrian regime to refrain from any direct or indirect attempt to destabilise neighbouring countries;
