In conclusion, the Council - calls on the Commission to prepare, within the framework of the future UNHCR plan, projects to facilitate the return of refugees and displaced persons by initial rehabilitation efforts in their places of origin; - calls on the Presidency and the Commission, in cooperation with the High Representative, to make political representations at the earliest opportunity on the basis of the approach in point 4 above to third-country donors to ensure that the next Ministerial Donors' Conference is completely successful; Member States will support these representations in their own contacts; - calls on the Presidency and the Commission to take all appropriate initiatives to acquaint the States concerned with the content of the broad approach to the region's future and to report to the Council before the end of June.
7. En conclusion, le Conseil - invite la Commission à préparer, dans le cadre du futur plan de l'UNHCR, des projets facilitant le retour des réfugiés et des personnes déplacées par des interventions de première réhabilitation dans les lieux d'origine. - invite la Présidence et la Commission, en coopération avec le Haut Représentant, à effectuer dans les plus brefs délais des démarches à niveau politique sur base des orientations du point 4 ci-avant dans les pays tiers donateurs pour assurer un plein succès de la prochaine Conférence ministérielle des donateurs; les Etats membres appuieront ces démarches dans leurs contacts. - invite la Présidence et la Commission à prendre toutes les initiatives appropriées pour porter à la connaissance des Etats concernés le contenu de l'approche globale sur le devenir de la région et de faire rapport au Conseil avant la fin du mois de juin.

The Council welcomed the success of the ad hoc Euro-Mediterranean Ministerial Meeting in Palermo on 3-4 June, revitalizing the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership and setting the stage, on the basis of the Chairman's conclusions, for the Third Ministerial Conference to be held in Stuttgart under the forthcoming German Presidency in April 1999.
