IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

49. Calls on the Commission to further explore the various options for the next generation of broad-scope agreements with the southern ENP countries; stresses that those agreements must include provision for arrangements to implement the human rights clause; notes that those bilateral agreements should not be at the expense of furthering multilateral cooperation in the region, and in particular the pursuit of the Barcelona Process goals, including the creation of a free trade area; calls on the Member States to reflect on possible ways of strengthening cooperation, including by means of increased flexibility in opening agricultural and labour markets in the future, in ways compatible with social protection and equity; calls on the Southern ENP countries to redouble their efforts to open economic systems to a greater extent and to harmonise their economic rules with the relevant parts of the EU acquis ; stresses the need to grant Mediterranean countries the right to control the pace at which their markets are opened up and their national economic and social development strategies; considers that more effective use of the ENPI for regional projects would make it possible to improve the situation so as to promote a genuinely integrated regional economic area;

In accordance with Article 20(1)(b) of the Agreement on extradition between the European Union and the United States of America, the extension of the territorial scope of that Agreement to the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba is hereby approved on behalf of the European Union.
Conformément à l’article 20, paragraphe 1, point b), de l’accord d’extradition entre l’Union européenne et les États-Unis d’Amérique, l’extension du champ d’application territoriale de cet accord aux Antilles néerlandaises et à Aruba est approuvée au nom de l’Union européenne.

The Netherlands has informed the Presidency that it wishes to extend the territorial scope of the Agreement on extradition, in accordance with Article 20(1)(b) thereof, to the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba.
Les Pays-Bas ont informé la présidence qu’ils souhaitaient que le champ d’application territoriale de l’accord d’extradition soit étendu, conformément à l’article 20, paragraphe 1, point b), dudit accord, aux Antilles néerlandaises et à Aruba.

1. Where a Member State intends to enter negotiations with a third country to amend an existing agreement, or to conclude a new agreement falling within the scope of this Regulation, it shall notify the Commission of its intention in writing.
1. Lorsqu'un État membre entend engager des négociations avec un pays tiers en vue de modifier un accord existant ou de conclure un nouvel accord relevant du champ d'application du présent règlement, il notifie par écrit son intention à la Commission.

2. Member States shall collect the data referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article and, before the 15th of each calendar month, shall submit by electronic transmission to the Commission, or to a body designated by the Commission, data for each stock, group of stocks or fishing category, on the quantities caught, and, where required under an agreement or regulation implementing that agreement, on the fishing effort deployed during the previous month by vessels flying their flag in the waters falling under the scope of an agreement and in the previous six months for fishing activities outside Community waters not falling under the scope of an agreement.

Les États membres collectent les données visées au paragraphe 1 de la présente disposition et, avant le 15 de chaque mois civil, communiquent par voie électronique à la Commission ou à un organisme désigné par celle-ci, pour chaque stock, groupe de stocks ou catégorie de pêche, les données sur les quantités capturées et, si un accord ou règlement portant modalités d'application de cet accord l'exige, sur l'effort déployé au cours du mois précédent par les navires battant leur pavillon, dans les eaux qui entrent dans le champ d'application d'un accord, et au cours des six mois précédents pour les activités de pêche en dehors des eaux communautaires et qui n'entrent pas dans le champ d'application d'un accord.

Needless to say, the amounts which were agreed as thresholds in the WTO Agreement remain applicable, but not for contracts which fall outside the scope of that agreement.
Les seuils d’applicabilité définis au niveau des accords de l’OMC sont naturellement d’application, sauf bien sûr pour les marchés qui n’entrent pas dans le cadre de ces accords.
