As we know, out of loyalty to the British Crown, their ancestors fled there from what was becoming the United States. As a person whose parents came from another culture, being of Armenian origin, I have always had the impression, seeing these two languages coexisting, that this was what gave each much of their originality and dynamism. In the end, this coexistence introduced many resemblances into the two languages, compensating in large part for what distinguished one from the other.
