(97) Shortly after the Neubrandenburg events, the then owner of Powerpipe brought the matter to the personal attention of a member of ABB's board of directors - who was unconnected with and presumably unaware of the cartel - and sought his intervention to end the campaign against Powerpipe (Appendix 8) There followed an internal investigation by ABB's general counsel, and a meeting between him and Powerpipe's lawyers.
