As a result, and by virtue of Article 3 of the Council Decision (EU) 2016/2369 on the signing and provisional application of the Protocol, the provisions of the Trade Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and Colombia and Peru, of the other part shall be applied on a provisional basis by the European Union as provided for in Article 330(3) thereof, pending the completion of the procedures necessary for the conclusion of the said Protocol, with the exception of Article 2, Article 202(1) and Articles 291 and 292 of the Agreement.

Ever since the entry into force of the Treaty of Amsterdam, equal treatment in the field of social policy has appeared in two articles: what are now Article 153(1)(i) and Article 157(3) TFEU, which mention, respectively, "equality between men and women with regard to labour market opportunities and treatment at work" and "the principle of equal opportunities and equal treatment of men and women in matters of employment and occupation, including the principle of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value": Although those articles are similar in content, it is generally considered that Article 157 deals with the question of equality specifically and more fully - from the question of equal pay (paras 1 and 2) to the legality of positive actions in favour of the underrepresented sex with a view to "ensuring full equality" (para. 4). 2. Exemption shall apply to specific spare parts, components or accessories specifically for the articles in question and to the tools to be used for the maintenance, checking, calibration and repair of the said articles, provided that such spare parts, components, accessories or tools are imported at the same time as the said articles or, if imported subsequently, that they can be identified as being intended for articles previously exempt on admission or which would be eligible to be so exempt at the time when such entry is requested for the specific spare parts, components or accessories and tools in question.
2. As regards Regulation (EC) No 998/2003, the Commission should be empowered to amend the list of species of animals set out in Part C of Annex I and the lists of countries and territories set out in Parts B and C of Annex II, draw up specific requirements in respect of diseases other than rabies with regard to Member States and territories listed in section 2 of Part B of Annex II, adopt conditions applicable to the movement of animals of the species listed in Part C of Annex I from third countries and adopt requirements of a technical nature in respect of the movement of animals of the species listed in Parts A and B of Annex I. Since those measures are of general scope and are designed to amend non-essential elements of that Regulation, inter alia, by supplementing it with new non-essential elements, they must be adopted in accordance with the regulatory procedure with scrutiny provided for in Article 5a of Decision 1999/468/EC.
