7. Stresses the need for further efforts to put an end to the activity of foreign armed groups in the east of the DRC, in particular the FDLR; calls on the governments of the DRC and of other countries in the region to take the necessary steps to this end; welcomes the DRC-Rwanda agreement, announced by the foreign ministers of the two countries, allowing Rwandan intelligence teams to go into the DRC and cooperate with the DRC army to end the FDLR presence in the region;
7. souligne qu'il faut redoubler d'efforts pour mettre un terme à l'activité des groupes armés étrangers, en particulier des FDLR, dans l'est de la RDC; demande aux gouvernements de la RDC et des autres pays de la région de prendre les mesures nécessaires à cet effet; salue l'accord entre la RDC et le Rwanda, annoncé par les ministres des affaires étrangères des deux pays, permettant à des équipes de renseignement rwandaises d'entrer en RDC et de coopérer avec l'armée de la RDC pour mettre un terme à la présence des FDLR dans la région;

3. Welcomes the DRC-Rwanda agreement, announced by the two countries' foreign ministers, allowing Rwandan intelligence teams to go into the DRC and cooperate with the Congolese Army in an effort to end the Hutu militia presence in the region;

3. The Council received a briefing from its President, Minister BURTON, on the outcome of the EU assessment mission of 10-12 November to Zaire and Rwanda. 4. The Council agreed that the return of refugees to Rwanda significantly facilitates the organisation of immediate humanitarian assistance and also assists in the search for solutions within Rwanda and the Region. 5. The Council strongly affirmed the commitment of the European Union to support the Government of Rwanda in its work to reintegrate the refugees on a just and equitable basis and to promote reconciliation and dialogue between all parties and the development of civil society.

Le Conseil a affirmé avec force que l'Union européenne s'engageait à soutenir l'action du gouvernement du Rwanda en vue de réinsérer les réfugiés sur une base juste et équitable et de promouvoir la réconciliation et le dialogue entre toutes les parties ainsi que le développement de la société civile.
