To underline the day, and underline my continuing friendship with the Leader of the Opposition, Senator Lynch-Staunton, I would like to present him with this year's book, which is a sweeping history of late 19th centuryVictorian England, mixed in with western North America — Canada and the United States — and it all ends up in the area around southwestern Alberta, where Senator John Lynch- Staunton's family resides and is a great part of the history of that area.
