Responding to the concern expressed by NGOs about structural adjustment policies, Mr Marin stated that neither the Commission nor the Member States of the Community had any intentipon of abandoning the principles of their cooperation with the ACP countries - a cooperation founded on dialogue and on the right of each State to self-determination in the areas of development strategy and policy.
Répondant aux préoccupations exprimés par les ONG au sujet des politiques d'ajustement structurel, le Vice-Président Marin a affirmé que ni la Commission ni les Etats membres de la Communauté ont l'intention d'abandonner les principes de la coopération avec les Etats ACP: coopération basée dans le dialogue et sur le droit de chaque Etat à déterminer sa propre politique et sa propre stratégie de développement.
