The quickest way right now of applying a vote is when the government whip stands on a point of order, seeks unanimous consent of the House, and then says words to the effect that he seeks unanimous consent to apply the results of the previous vote or previous motion, and he usually names that motion—let's say motion number 1 to motions 17, 19, 25, 39, 49, 146, and on down the list, thereby disposing of a whole number of motions with one point of order, if you will.
