The Aicher group terminated its participation in the financing of NMH at the beginning of 1994, immediately before the Bavarian Government finally decided to implement the Aicher plan, and did not take up its provision of liquidity after having been chosen to become the future majority shareholder of NMH, relying on the Sate's readiness to maintain NMH in operation, to await the Commission's approval for the injection of further public resources by Bavaria.
