The programme for the environment and climate action (LIFE) for 2014 to 2020 aims to contribute to sustainable development and to the achievement of the objectives and targets of the Europe 2020 strategy, the seventh EU environment action programme and other relevant EU environment and climate change initiatives.
Le programme pour l’environnement et l’action pour le climat (LIFE) pour la période 2014-2020 contribue au développement durable et à la réalisation des objectifs et des buts de la stratégie Europe 2020, du septième programme d’action de l’UE pour l’environnement et des initiatives pertinentes de l’UE en matière d’environnement et de climat.

In that endeavour, the LIFE Programme should support the implementation of the General Union Environment Action Programme to 2020 "Living well, within the limits of our planet" as established by Decision of the European Parliament and of the Council ("7th Environment Action Programme").
Dans cette perspective, le programme LIFE devrait soutenir la mise en œuvre du programme d'action général de l'Union pour l'environnement à l'horizon 2020 "Bien vivre, dans les limites de notre planète", tel qu'établi par la décision du Parlement européen et du Conseil (ci-après dénommé "7e programme d'action pour l'environnement").

With a view to optimising the use of LIFE Programme resources, synergies between actions under the sub-programme for Environment, in particular to protect biodiversity, and climate change mitigation and adaptation measures under the sub-programme for Climate Action should be fostered.
Afin d'optimiser l'utilisation des ressources du programme LIFE, il y a lieu de favoriser les synergies entre les actions menées dans le cadre du sous-programme "Environnement", notamment en matière de protection de la biodiversité, et les mesures visant à l'atténuation du changement climatique et à l'adaptation à ce phénomène relevant du sous-programme "Action pour le climat".

Taking into account the activities of the Environment LIFE+ Programme (LIFE+), the Framework Programme should encourage the uptake of environmental technologies through pilot and market replication projects, bridging the gap between the successful demonstration of innovative technologies and the market uptake and by removing the barriers to market penetration, promoting voluntary approaches in fields such as environmental management, and networking relevant actors.
En tenant compte des activités du programme LIFE+ (ci-après dénommé «LIFE+»), le programme-cadre devrait favoriser la généralisation des écotechnologies à travers des projets d'expérimentation pilote et de première application commerciale, en assurant la transition entre la démonstration réussie de technologies innovantes et leur commercialisation et en supprimant les obstacles à la pénétration de ces technologies sur le marché, promouvant ainsi des approches volontaires dans des domaines tels que la gestion de l'environnement, ainsi que par le biais des parties intéressées travaillant en réseau.
