Competent bodies shall carry out an initial on-site visit before awarding the EU Ecolabel licence and may perform follow up on-site visits periodically during the award period.

1. Ecolabels awarded before 18 August 2008 in respect of products falling within the product group ‘indoor paints and varnishes’ may continue to be used until 28 February 2009.
1. Les labels écologiques attribués avant le 18 août 2008 à des produits appartenant à la catégorie «peintures et vernis d’intérieur» peuvent continuer à être utilisés jusqu’au 28 février 2009.

2. Where applications have been submitted before 18 August 2008 for the award of the Ecolabel in respect of products falling within the product group ‘indoor paints and varnishes’, those products shall be awarded the eco-label under the conditions laid down in Decision 2002/739/EC.

Si des demandes d’attribution du label écologique ont été présentées avant le 18 août 2008 pour des produits appartenant à la catégorie de produits «peintures et vernis d’intérieur», ces produits peuvent se voir attribuer le label écologique dans les conditions prévues par la décision 2002/739/CE.
