Expresses deep concern regarding the large-scale land acquisitions that are currently carried out by foreign investors in developing countries, which is also to the detriment of local smallholder and medium-scale farmers and to local, regional and national food security; therefore calls on the EU to encourage governments of developing countries to commit to land reform in order to secure the land titles of indigenous farmers and small and medium farmers, especially women, and to prevent land-grabbing practices by corporations;
48. se dit fortement préoccupé par les acquisitions de terres à grande échelle auxquelles procèdent actuellement des investisseurs étrangers dans les pays en développement et qui s'opèrent également au détriment tant des petites et moyennes exploitations agricoles locales que de la sécurité alimentaire locale, régionale et nationale; invite dès lors l'Union européenne à encourager les gouvernements des pays en développement à procéder à une réforme agraire pour garantir les droits terriens des agriculteurs autochtones, des agriculteurs de petites et moyennes exploitations, et surtout des agricultrices, et pour empêcher les pratiques d'accaparement de terres par les entreprises;
