One obviously is the Bloc Québécois, who have their own perspective on matters both in Quebec and across the country; and the other is the Canadian Alliance, formerly the Reform Party, which dismisses as, in the immortal word of Preston Manning, the Plains of Abraham concept of Confederation any thought of minority linguistic rights across this country.
