If, during the two-year period referred to in a person’s agreement to become bilingual, the person accepts, after entering into a new agreement to become bilingual, any other non-imperative appointment to a bilingual position requiring the same or a lower level of official language proficiency, sections 4 and 5 apply in respect of that subsequent appointment as if the references in those sections to the two-year period referred to in the agreement to become bilingual were references to the two-year period referred to in the first agreement.

Sections 26 to 36 apply in respect of any reporting period of a person that ends on or after July 1, 2010, except that, for the purposes of subsection 36(2), if any reporting period referred to in the portion of that subsection before the formula ends before April 1, 2011, the reference in that subsection to “a reporting period of the person that includes the last day of that fiscal year or for a reporting period of the person that begins after that fiscal year and ends on or before the last day of the third fiscal month following the last day of that fiscal year” is to be read as a reference to “the reporting period that includes April 1, 2011”.

(3) Subject to subsections (4) and (5), if, before the expiry of the 45-day period referred to in subsection (1), a notice is sent under subsection 25.2(1) in respect of the investment and if, in respect of the investment, an order is made under subsection 25.3(1), the period during which the Minister may send the notice referred to in subsection (1) is deemed to expire five days after the expiry of the prescribed period referred to in subsection 25.3(6) or the further period if one was agreed to under that subsection.
