(ii) if the aggregate of the annual rate at which the second pension of the recipient is payable, together with the annual rate at which the first pension of the recipient is payable, exceeds the annual rate specified for such recipient in Column I of Schedule B, the annual rate at which the second pension of the recipient is payable shall, for the purposes of these Regulations, be deemed to be payable at a rate equal to the annual rate determined by subtracting from the annual rate specified for such recipient in Column I of Schedule B, the annual rate at which the first pension of the recipient is payable and the rate so determined shall be increased in accordance with section 3,

(5) Any person who becomes a contributor under this Part, having been a member of the regular force and having become entitled to an annuity, annual allowance or pension under the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act, or having been a member of the Force and having become entitled to an annuity or annual allowance under the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Superannuation Act, is entitled, for the purposes of this Part, to retain that annuity, annual allowance or pension, but the period of service on which that annuity, annual allowance or pension was based may not be counted by that person for the purposes of any benefit to which he may become entitled under this Part by reason of having become a contributor hereunder.

(a) if the annual rate at which the first pension of the recipient is payable is equal to or exceeds the annual rate specified for such recipient in Column I of Schedule B, the annual rate at which the first pension of the recipient is payable shall be increased in accordance with section 3, but no increase shall be made pursuant to these Regulations in the annual rate at which the second pension of the recipient is payable; and

Welcomes the introduction in December 2010 of a 'third-party payment system' for NMBS/SNCB season tickets in Brussels, under which Parliament contributes 50 % of the cost of individual annual season tickets taken out by its staff members; encourages its administration to make the necessary arrangements in order also to reimburse staff who need to combine rail and urban transport; takes the view that this could further promote the use of public transport and reduce Parliament's carbon footprint;

Points to the remark made by the ECA at point 10.23 of its Annual Report that in the context of an ex post verification procedure, the CoR's administration found that, in the case of one national delegation, the amounts refunded to members for travel expenditure (air tickets) on the basis of hand-written travel agency invoices were on average 83% higher than the price actually charged by the airline for the ticket used;

(22 ) Each Member State should require every institution located in its territory to draw up annual accounts and annual reports taking into account each pension scheme operated by the institution and, as the case may be, annual accounts and annual reports for each pension scheme.
